| Wicca/Witchcraft/Pagan Authors - Many authors have their own websites. I think these sites are great because you learn more about the author him/herself, plus if they're doing workshops or book signing tours, you may see that they're passing through your area. If you are an author, you can list your site as well by submitting your link. Please note, I'm going through my links right now and adding what I can...this page will always be under construction, but have patience as I play catch-up! Neopagan.net: Isaac Bonewits' page: I'm not the type to be a starry-eyed fanatic of any author, but Bonewits is certainly one of my favorites. His books and articles are on a much more scholarly level than most, and they lean more towards theory than giving examples, but that really appeals to me. His article on "The History of Witchcraft" is the best I've read, particularly with the etymology of the word "witch." (You can now find the article contained in his e-book, available at his site for a reasonable fee.) He is much more down to earth than most Pagan authors I've seen out there, and he has an EXCELLENT website. The Janet and Stewart Farrar, and Gavin Bone Web Pages: Since I began with Alexandrian Wicca, I felt it was important for others to see what is involved to get an idea of what a Tradition is. Most web pages you'll find are eclectic, so this is an example of some of the Wiccan authors you can find. M. Macha Nightmare: "Have broom, will travel." Author of Witchcraft and the Web. She visited this site! *does a little happy dance* Silver Ravenwolf's Page: You know her books, now know her website. Form your opinions from there. *grin* (I know there is a lot of controversy since the Teen Witch Kit, so I don't want to add to it...I'll let you decide for yourself.) Gerina Dunwich: The official web site of Pagan author Gerina Dunwich. (She also visited this site! How cool! *grin*) The Exploration: Homepage of Aaron Holmes - "It began with stories we've all heard growing up, like Merlin and Arthur. The similarities between Odin's sacrifice on the Tree of Yggdrasil and Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross. The concepts of the Wiccan Trinity of Maiden, Mother and Crone, and the Christian Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, all play a part on the human psyche. With the above connection in mind, and many people asking him questions concerning magick and myth, Aaron sat down to write an explanation of what was going on. The book Full Circle: An Exploration in our Spiritual Universe and this site it what became of it..." Celtic Soul: Sandra Kynes: Personal web site of Llewellyn author Sandra Kynes with photo-journal of pilgrimage to Ireland, miscellaneous writing, spells and rituals and details on upcoming books. Ritual Goddess: A site for Goddess spirituality and seasonal ritual by Theresa C. Dintino, author of Ode To Minoa, odyssey of a snake priestess in Bronze age Crete and Stories They Told Me a novel of shamanism and Goddess spirituality set in the Bronze age mediterranean. |
